Yahoo! CEO Carol Bartz has been ousted from her gig, and with a big, fat severance payout in her pocket, to boot. As a result, Snoop Dogg has taken the initiative and appointed himself the new CEO of the company.

The rapper, who is called upon by many pop stars (like Katy Perry) to appear on their singles and give 'em a boost, announced his new gig via a tweet, writing, "Im takn over as tha CEO of Yahoo. Need sum of tha Snoop Dogg content ya digg. Nuff Said." Let's hope CEO Dogg has plenty of ideas to boost this sagging web brand. Maybe the company can bring him on as a content consultant.

While Snoop's tweet announced his coup of Yahoo!'s executive leadership post, a Twitter account that presented itself as belonging to interim CEO Tim Morse responded to Snoop's declaration, writing: "@SnoopDogg Haha Snoop Dog, sorry that position is already filled I enjoy listening to your music on @Yahoo_Music available @music.yahoo.com." A later tweet suggested that the rapper give Yahoo! a call if he wants to work there. We love how the responsorial tweet promoted a Yahoo! service. It's a promotion machine.

Maybe Snoop can intern and work his way up the ranks? Snoop has the magic touch when it comes to pop songs. Maybe he can have the same effect on a web business?
