Southern Charm's Thomas Ravenel has been accused of sexual assault, People reported on Thursday (May 3).

Real estate agent Ashley Perkins alleged to the outlet that her mother, Debbie Holloway Perkins, met Ravenel on Tinder in October 2015 and went on a first date with the now-55-year-old reality star on December 25 of that year. Perkins claimed she did not witness the alleged assault, but learned of it through her mother, who said Ravenel digitally penetrated her and "stuck his penis in [her] face" during a tour of his recently renovated home. Ashley first detailed the accusations on her website in April.

Ravenel's attorney, Robert P. Terbrusch, denied the allegations in a statement to People. “My client enjoys a certain degree of fame and unfortunately has become – unfairly – a target for an individual who has, in my opinion, dubious motivations," he said.

Ashley explained that, after the alleged incident, she and her mother got in touch with attorney Gloria Allred, who she claimed took on the case. Allred declined to comment when reached by People.

The Perkins reportedly participated in mediation in June 2016, during which Debbie signed a non-disclosure agreement and allegedly received a settlement of $200,000. Ashley did not.

The women have since moved away from Charleston, South Carolina, where Ravenel is located, and are now living in Florida.
