'Rise Above 1,' the song that Reeve Carney, U2 frontman Bono and guitarist The Edge delivered on the 'American Idol' season finale, is now building webs as the first single from the spider-ific soundtrack, 'Music from Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark.'

Of course we loved the track when it made its debut on live television, but even without the trapeze act and over-sized spider web, this song has legs -- eight of them, to be exact.

"I miss you and everything / I was too fast traveling to take you in / I know silence is no crime / Just wish I could wish you fill it up one more time / Yes I know what you say to me / Exactly what you say to me / I still hang on every word," Bono sings in one version, bringing in his signature emotional filling.

Reeve Carney, who actively pursued the music scene with his brothers in the band Carney before becoming Spider-Man on Broadway, brings in a solid and smooth chorus that really gives the song its luster. "And you said rise above, open your eyes of love / And you said rise above / But I can't, I can't," he sings like he means it.

Sure, Bono is a nice attribute, and you can't go wrong with the guitar stylings of the legendary The Edge, but like the 'Turn Off the Dark' musical, this track is all about Spidey. Truthfully, we think Carney could have carried this with his own two, err, eight hands ... And sort of wish he would have.

'Rise Above 1' is one of 14 tracks on 'Music from Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark,' which drops on June 14 -- the same day that Carney will swing into action on the Broadway stage opening.
