Nobody likes getting booed, but the fact of the matter is that it happens quite often when you are a celebrity. Whether it's because of a flubbed speech, a harsh-on-the-ears performance (ahem, Ashlee Simpson), or just showing your face in public, some artists have been the brunt of awful symphonies of boos from audience members and observers. In the wake of Amy Winehouse's drunken concert in Brazil, check out our list of the Top 10 Videos of Pop Stars Getting Booed, from Madonna's speech on prejudice in Bucharest to Kanye West's infamous appearance on a float at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in Manhattan.

  • Weezy's Colors Aren't 'Black and Yellow'

Considering his massive popularity, it is hard to imagine Lil Wayne getting booed. However, that is exactly what happened when he performed in Chicago in early 2011. During a medley, the '6 Foot 7 Foot' hitmaker was booed for performing his own rendition of the Wiz Khalifa jam 'Black and Yellow,' rapping 'Green and Yellow' instead. Weezy was in Bears territory, and his ode to his favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers, did not go over well.

  • Lauryn Hill Meets Tough Apollo Crowd

1988 was a rough year for R&B songstress Lauryn Hill, and not because of hormones, boys, and other awkward pubescent turmoils. When she was 13, Hill worked up the courage to do something that most kids her age would faint at the thought of -- perform at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem. Even though Hill was booed through the beginning half of her performance, she was able to fight off her nerves and bring it home towards the end.

  • Bieber's Face = Cacophony of Boos and Shrieks

Make it stop! Justin Bieber attended at Knicks game in New York City in early 2011, and when his face flashed across the JumboTron, the sounds of the crowd's mixed reaction is enough to make you want to rip your hair out. While his young female admirers were busy shaking, crying and screaming, the rest of the crowd at MSG were busy blasting him with a bad case of the boos. Bieber seems to be used to it, though.

  • Britney Spears Neglects Her Fans in London

Britney Spears made lots on Londoners very angry in 2002 when she was in the city for the premiere of her film 'Crossroads.' Fans stood outside of the Odeon Leicester Square theater for hours waiting for the pop diva to arrive. Naturally, they were very disappointed when all Brit did to greet her fans was walk to the edge of the red carpet and give a wave. One couple even had signs saying they flew from South Africa to see her! Ouch.

  • Madonna Talks Discrimination in Romania

When Madonna played a show in Romania in 2009, she was hoping to spread peace awareness by bringing up the discrimination against gypsies. "There is a lot of discrimination against Romanies and Gypsies in general in eastern Europe," she stated. "It made me feel very sad." With that being said, the crowd of 60,000+ began releasing a furious roar of "boos." Needless to say, Madonna didn't make any more comments on the matter after that show.

  • People at MSG Ask "Who Is Kevin Rudolf?!"

In 2009, fans at a Knicks game in Madison Square Garden were bursting with excitement when an announcer said that a Cash Money -- which is home to Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj -- artist would be performing during half time. So when the lights shined down on little-known singer Kevin Rudolf standing at half court, it is obvious why people were upset. This video has so much booing, we are surprised Rudolf didn't just call it quits during the first song!

  • Lil Mama Fails to Impress at Webster Hall

Lil Mama's performance at Webster Hall in December 2010 wasn't even close to being as "poppin'" as her lipgloss. She attempted to "spit that hardcore crap" at NYC's Webster Hall, but her verses are almost inaudible thanks to the uproarious "boos" from the crowd. Unlike her confusing critiques on 'America's Best Dance Crew,' the saucy Lil Mama straight-up told the crowd, "Nothing can phase [me] and I love y'all," before blowing a kiss.

  • Kat DeLuna Butchers the National Anthem

Damn. Can we get some ear plugs, please? When she was asked to sing the National Anthem back in 2008 at a Dallas Cowboys game, we doubt Kat DeLuna had this kind of crowd reaction in mind. However, considering the way in which she delivered this rendition of our country's national song, we can't really blame the crowd for being so critical over her very bad and overly emphatic performance.

  • Ashlee Simpson Gets No Love Post 'SNL'

When Ashlee Simpson performed at the Orange Bowl back in 2005, she was attempting to sweep her notorious 'SNL' lip syncing incident under the carpet and start fresh. However, America wasn't as quick to forgive. After finishing 'La La' and hitting several off-key notes during the song, the crowd gave her a brutal booing that would've sent most artists back to their buses in tears.

  • Taylor Swift Fans DO NOT Like Kanye West

Sometimes Yeezy doesn't know when to keep his mouth zipped, like the time he bum-rushed the stage during Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, leaving her dumbstruck and in tears backstage. Little did West know that Ms. Swift has an army of fans behind her, and they booed him for wronging the songbird as he rode atop a giant apple float during the 2009 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in NYC.
