For his song from the 21st century on 'American Idol' tonight, Stefano Langone chose to tackle the 2008 Ne-Yo track 'Closer.' Before his performance, the other contestants spoke about his "ladies man" reputation, and the sexy and uptempo R&B song really showed off what Jennifer Lopez calls his "swag."

During his performance, Langone was definitely channeling modern R&B/pop superstars like Usher and Chris Brown. Langone wore a black T-shirt, jeans, red suspenders, and some super fly kicks during his performance, hitting all the right notes during his rendition of 'Closer.'

Langone went even further outside the box by incorporating some dance moves, including a little wind and grind for the ladies out there. His performance was also reminiscent of Usher's mashup performance at the VMA's last year, with flashing green laser lights surrounding him as he worked the stage.

The judges enjoyed Langone's performance of the Ne-Yo song, with Randy Jackson commending Langone on how he "took [his] time singing the verses." Steven Tyler delivered yet another Tylerism, telling Langone, "Nobody can say you weren't all up in it." Jennifer Lopez also loved Langone, saying, "It really felt like a concert."

Langone has had two great performances in a row, but we have still seen him in the bottom on occasion. Hopefully, America was feeling Langone's performance as much as the judges were.
