Aerosmith frontman and chatty 'American Idol' judge Steven Tyler premiered '(It) Feels So Good,' his first official solo single, today on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

The punchy rock tune is fresh and fun, with heavy breathing, harmonica, cowbell and hand claps complementing Tyler's animated vocals as he sings the hook:

"It feels so good lovin' you / It's so good the way you do the do / It feels so good and I need oxygen / Little bit of Heaven doin' 24/7 again."

The flamboyant singer beams as he sings about the girl who changed his mind and changed his world for the better, a girl who "smells like the summertime" and is "a real superfreak."

Tyler will premiere the video for '(It) Feels So Good' on 'Idol' this Thursday, May 12. The single will be available on iTunes tomorrow, the same day Aerosmith's latest compilation, 'Tough Love: Best of the Ballads,' hits stores.

While launching a solo career at age 63 must be some kind of record, Tyler insists he still plans to release a new Aerosmith album this year.

Tyler also has a new autobiography, 'Does the Noise in My Head Bother You?,' released last week.
