Steven Tyler Owns Up to Womanizing Past

Steven Tyler was a womanizer, just like the lyrics to the Britney Spears song. Being a rock singer makes such a lifestyle readily available. However, the rocker and 'American Idol' judge has owned up to his past and doesn't ever want to go down that road again. His current girlfriend Erin Brady has a lot to do with Tyler turning over a new leaf.

During a chat with Oprah, Brady revealed that she gave Tyler an ultimatum, to which he responded exactly as she wished he would.

Brady was on the road with Tyler and "saw how he behaved...badly." The rocker's GF continued, "But I said, 'Hey listen, if you play it, I'm gonna play it." The idea that two can play at that game was reason enough to get Tyler to straighten up and fly right. Brady said she told Tyler, "'I just want to make that clear to you.' And he didn't really like it when he was on the other side of that scenario."

Oprah posed a difficult question for Tyler, asking if it was possible to be both monogamous and a rock star. With thousands of women throwing themselves at Tyler's feet and hoping to bed him, the temptation is pretty massive. However, Tyler is done playing games and sleeping around. Moreover, he is finished with breaking hearts. The singer said, "I don't want to hurt anybody again. For all the divorces I've had, I hurt those girls deeply. There was some behavior that I'm ashamed of and I shouldn't have done."

Tyler and Brady were clutching hands during the interview in a show of solidarity, as Tyler firmly stated, "I don't want to hurt another human being." It was refreshing to see the quippy singer, who tosses off head-scratching one-liners as an 'Idol' judge, let down his guard and be so honest.

Brady also revealed that the most loving thing that Tyler ever did for her wasn't gifting her with an expensive piece of jewelry or writing a song about her. Instead, she admitted that Tyler did something way more thoughtful.

"I went to Alaska to visit my grandmother who I loved more than anything," she said. "He was tour and he took four days to come up to Alaska to meet her, because we knew she wasn't going to be around much longer."

Underneath all the crazy quotes, reckless rock antics and layers of scarves, Steven Tyler is a romantic at heart.
