Elective rhinoplasty in London? The equivalent of $6,300. Spending your student loan on facial reconstruction to achieve the look of the former Pussycat Dolls' lead singer? Priceless.

According to the Irish Examiner, a 20-year-old college student in London spent £4,250 meant for school on surgery that landed her a replica of Nicole Scherzinger's nose. The site says she was kicked in the face as a teenager, and sought out the procedure to level off a bump that resulted.

"My whole family have perfect noses and mine seemed so out of place. I hated it," Maiah Ali said. "I thought Nicole’s was perfect for me, I am Middle-Eastern and felt I needed to find someone who looked similar to me. I love her nose, it looks natural, and I wanted to keep it that way. But hers is also very straight."

So, were there any regrets after the operation, which included a "straightening" of the nose and the shaving down of its sides? Nah.

"A week and a half later it was fine and I am really pleased with it. It’s quite a subtle change, some people don’t even notice," she said. "It is a lot of money though, I’m paying it off in installments."
