According to the Washington Post, former music mogul Suge Knight has officially been charged with murder following a hit-and-run incident that took place last Thursday (Jan. 29). The hit-and-run resulted in the death of one man and the injury of another.

Suge reportedly turned himself in to police last Friday (Jan. 30) where he was then arrested on suspicion of murder. His bail was set at $2 million, but it was later revoked when it was argued that Suge was a possible flight risk.

Although details were hazy when we first reported the hit-and-run, the Post goes on to say that the act may have been intentional. Lt. John Corina said, "Looks like he drove backwards and struck the victims and drove forwards and struck them again. The people we talked to say it looked like it was an intentional act.”

Because Suge was out on bail following a robbery case, he is being charged not only with murder and attempted murder, but also "with an allegation that he committed a serious and violent felony while out on bail in another pending case." This means Suge may wind up in prison for life, depending on the outcome of the case.

Suge's lawyer, meanwhile, claimed the entire thing was an accident that came from Suge fearing for his life. He said (via the LA Times), "Mr. Knight was attacked by a group of men while he was in the vehicle. They were beating him, threatening to kill him and attempting to drag him outside of the vehicle. He made an effort to escape, he was in fear for his life. And that's exactly what he did."
