The virtual performance of Tupac Shakur at the Coachella Music Festival last Sunday (April 15) should prove conclusively that the rap icon is dead. However, the man behind Tupac's label, Death Row Records, is convinced that he's still very much alive.

TMZ reports that during an interview with 93.5 KDay in Los Angeles, Suge Knight told DJs Tattoo and Cee Cee that Tupac might have faked his own death. He believes that since the authorities have never solved the case, there could be a possibility that a murder never really happened.

"Maybe the question is ... Pac's not really dead ... Pac's somewhere else," Knight states. When he was asked if he ever saw Tupac's body following the 1996 shooting, he replied, "Nobody seen Tupac dead. The person who supposedly cremated Tupac … this guy got about 3 million dollars … personally from me ... cash ... and next thing I know I never heard from the guy or seen him again ... he retired and left."

We don't know what to say about Knight's conspiracy theory. It's quite bizarre that he thinks Tupac is alive since he was in the car with him when it was struck by a hail of bullets. But we are going to stand by our good senses and believe that Tupac is no longer with us.

Elsewhere in the interview, according to HipHopDX, Knight threatened Rick Ross, who created a song inspired by the late rap icon called 'Tupac Back.'

Knight doesn't have any personal issues with Ross, but he doesn't like him hanging out with Diddy, whom he holds responsible for the murder of Tupac. "I can't sit up here and say I'm bitter to Rick Ross, [because] like anybody else, we don't know Rick Ross," he explains. "I don't got nothing negative [against him] personally, I just feel like he do good music, and you can't take that from him."

"I feel like there's a line you cross, and Rick Ross crossed that line," he continues. "If you're gonna be with a guy [Diddy] who killed Tupac, you can't go turn around and do a record [called] 'Tupac Back.' Rick Ross is a grown a-- n---a. I'll beat the dog s--- out of Rick Ross for manipulating these people out here."
