On Wednesday, Susan Boyle appeared on 'America’s Got Talent' to debut a brand new song called 'You Have to Be There,' a new song from her forthcoming album, 'Someone to Watch Over Me.'

The international sensation sang in front of a cheering audience during the second semi-final results show of the hit competition series. The 50-year-old vocalist created a dramatic backdrop to her performance by enlisting the help of a string symphony and engaging light show.

"I'm so pleased the audience enjoyed the song," she said. "I really loved performing that big number. I was also a little nervous introducing something new."

'You Have to Be There' will be featured on the diva's third album, due out on Nov. 7. 'Someone to Watch Over Me' follows Boyle's multi-platinum releases 'I Dreamed a Dream' and 'The Gift.'

In just two years, the singer's post 'Britain's Got Talent' success has proved to be an inspiration to people around the world. In fact, a musical called 'I Dreamed a Dream' will chronicle the Scotland native's story, and is currently in production. The musical is scheduled to premiere in Newcastle, England in March 2012.
