Tom Odell – 2013 SXSW Must-See Artists

Singer-songwriter Tom Odell is a rising star from the U.K. The Critics' Choice recipient at the 2013 BRIT Awards might be young at 22 years old, but he has been writing songs for almost a decade. He honed his craft going to open mic nights and performing at whatever bars and clubs would have him.

The Brit's debut EP 'Songs From Another Love' was released in his home country last year and will see a U.S. release in April 2013.

Expect demand to be high for the piano man's performance at the KCRW Showcase on March 13 at Haven, where he performs at 9 PM, sandwiched between Wild Belle and Ra Ra Riot.

If you can't get in to see that one, Odell has additional shows scheduled on March 14 at Spotify House and Hotel San Jose/Jo’s on South Congress. Maybe he'll get crazy and bust out his sensitive cover of Taylor Swift's 'I Knew You Were Trouble.'
