Rapper T.I. is confident that he can stay drug free since being release from prison for violating his probation, stemming from an arrest for possession of ecstasy. The 'I'm Flexin'' rapper sat down to chat with the women of 'The View' about his new book 'Power & Beauty.'

But the ladies seem critical of T.I. past arrests and wondered if he could break his drug habit. "I broke the habit," he says. "I think it was more recreational than anything else, and it's just a discipline factor." Tip says he takes full responsibility for his actions, which led him to prison twice in two years. "I understand why people are so critical of me, and I accept that," he says. "Nobody is tougher on me than I am on myself. And I'm not trying to make excuses and I accept responsibility for everything that I've done."

Now embracing his sobriety, T.I. places his family high on his priority list. "My family, my wife, my mother, everybody are the most important [thing in my life]," he says. "Together we all endured these pitfalls, these challenges in life and we move forward stronger as a family together."

T.I.'s new book 'Power & Beauty' is in stores now.
