The unusual trio of T-Pain, Wiz Khalifa and Lily Allen team up on '5 O'Clock,' a song that may appear on T-Pain's next album, 'Revolver.'

Despite the hip-hop cred of T-Pain and Khalifa, this is a flat-out pop song with a relaxed, mid-tempo feel. The tune kicks off with Allen's hook, a verse taken from her 2009 song 'Who'd Have Known':

"It's 5:00 in the morning, conversation got boring / You said you're going to bed soon, so I snuck off to your bedroom / And I thought I'd just wait there until I heard you come up the stairs / And I pretended I was sleeping, and I was hoping you would creep in."

T-Pain jumps in with Auto-tuned verses in which he's out late at the club but assures his girl he'll be home soon enough: "I know that you mad, girl / But you ain't gotta worry about nothin' / Girl I got ya, girl I got ya / Cause you might come and find me / And then ask me kindly / Do I want her to go crazy ? / We do this every night and then we always wake up singin' the same song."

Khalifa's cameo is unnecessary, since it interrupts the strangely cool vibe T-Pain and Allen have going, but overall, '5 O'Clock' is a strong track with a refreshingly different sound than most of what is currently being played on the radio.
