On tonight’s episode of ‘The Voice,’ the Top 8 sang their little hearts out as they got one step closer to that glorious finish line.
After a very, very long “here’s what happened last night on The Voice” montage sequence, Christina Aguilera took the stage with her team for a medley tribute of Janet/Michael Jackson songs. Although we can’t dispute the awesomeness of the Jackson family, it once again felt like an odd choice for a group number, and not very relevant. Are the coaches all getting too old to relate to current, modern pop hits? (Sorry, coaches, but you're no spring chickens.)
It's not easy being a pop star. Singers develop thick skin to deal with the haters, and often their tough sides come through in their music. Fortunately for music fans, this often results in amazing visual to accompany these songs. Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera all posed as boxers for musical performances. Tonight's live episode of 'The Voice' started with the Top 10 performing 'Say It, Just Say It' by the Mowgli's. Not sure about you, but we have been feeling extremely underwhelmed with the group performances this year, and this one was no exception. When the gang all sings in unison, everything is peachy, but as they each take their solo turn during these group numbers, suddenly everything feels very messy and uncomfortable and wrong. So wrong.
Adam Levine visited the 'TODAY' show this morning (Nov. 15), looking quite dapper in a suit. He was certainly a sharp-dressed man, as he talked the friendly rivalries and faux feuds that power 'The Voice.' He also remained firmly tight-lipped about that rumored Sexiest Man Alive nod from PEOPLE.
Tonight’s live results show of ‘The Voice’ featured a new twist that has been buzzed about for the past several days: Twitter users will now have a chance to save their favorite singer from the bottom three. For the first time ever, fans of the show can jump on Twitter and use the hashtag #VoiceSave along with the name of the singer they wish to save from elimination, within a very limited 5-minute window. This new “Instant Save” curveball will certainly change the outcome of the show, and along with all the other ‘Voice’ fans out there, we were eager to see how it would play out on tonight’s episode.
