Avril Lavigne has always had a style all her own. In these pictures, travel through the years with the songstress as she switches between sweet and sassy dresses, to straight-up punk gear. Lavigne is a fashion chameleon, as she can rock a long, floor-length gown at high-class on the red carpet at awards shows, and switch into skater-esque gear for a performance that same night.
Avril Lavigne was part designer, part model at her Abbey Dawn fashion show on Sept. 12 in New York City. In case you didn't know, the 'Wish You Were Here' songstress has her own clothing line called Abbey Dawn, and the attire she create is sassy, cute, punk-rock princess gear (reflecting Lavigne's own personality). After models showed off a variety of looks, including acid-washed denim, watermelon-patterned rompers and teeny-tiny bikinis at the Spring 2012 show, Lavigne showed off another Abbey Dawn look as she walked the runway at during the closing portion of the show.
Punk rock pop princess Avril Lavigne cries her eyes out in her new video 'Wish You Were Here,' which is the latest single from 'Goodbye Lullaby.' It's not a single, solitary tear, either. It's a full on cry fest. Aw, Avril! We're sorry you're so sad. But we've been there and we know the feeling of missing the one you love.
When Rihanna's latest single 'Cheers (Drink to That)' impacted the airwaves, listeners who weren't already familiar with the tune probably took note of the familiar "yeah, yeah's" that chime throughout the chorus. That distinct voice belongs to Avril Lavigne, of course, as the island-inspired tune samples her melancholy ballad 'I'm With You.' Now, people are buzzing about Lavigne possibly making a cameo in Rihanna's video for 'Cheers,' which is set to premiere tomorrow, Aug. 26.
