It's time for Round 2 in PopCrush's Battle of the Brits, where we ask you, the readers, to vote on a variety of acts from the U.K. in order to crown the best English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish artist of 2013!
Thanks to their fans, Calvin Harris and Charli XCX have been voted into Round 2 of Battle of the Brits! But which Electronic artist reigns supreme? Let's break it down.
Congratulations to Coldplay and the Script, who have advanced to Round 2 in PopCrush's Battle of the Brits! Both bands have that pop-driven, alt rock sound, and both have an army of devoted fans, which should make this round of voting interesting.
The second duo in the Pop Solo category to advance in our Battle of the Brits competition are Ellie Goulding and Cher Lloyd! They may have seven years between them and entirely different musical styles, but both of these gals are equally fierce and energetic, and that much closer to claiming the overall title.
Jessie J and Adele are the first duo in the Pop Solo category to advance in PopCrush's Battle of the Brits! The British vocalists go way back -- the 25-year-olds actually attended high school together -- but now they are duking it out for the title of Best Act in the U.K.!
Oh snap, you guys! Our second round of the Battle of the Brits just got crazy interesting! This matchup between One Direction and Little Mix is pitting the premiere British boy band against the premiere British girl band. Also, Zayn Malik of 1D and Perrie Edwards of LM are an item -- shiz just got real?! Who will come out on top?
Rudimental vs. Sub Focus -- who will reign supreme in the Electronic category in the Battle of the Brits! Both acts are crazy talented, so we leave it up to you to decide their fate.
Birdy and Ben Howard are the first duo to advance in the Singer-Songwriter category within PopCrush's Battle of the Brits competition. Both are extremely talented musicians and in the folk-indie genre -- but who deserves to move on to Round 3?
Welcome to PopCrush's first-ever Battle of the Brits! It seems like more and more artists from the U.K. are breaking through not only in their native countries and Stateside, but all over the world. With so many British and Irish artists making waves as of late, like Adele, One Direction, Jessie J, Rita Ora and Calvin Harris, we thought it was about time to crown the greatest U.K. artist of 2013.
