Last night (July 1) at the 2012 BET Awards, female singers and rappers strutted their stuff at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. Entertainers like Brandy, Monica, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, Michelle Williams and Willow Smith all dressed to impress for the show, with some taking on more edgy looks while others kept it classic in fancy dresses.

Monica and Brandy have teamed up for a new song 'It All Belongs to Me,' which will impact radio on Feb. 6, reports Rap-Up. The songbird's reunion is remarkable considering that it's been 14 years since the duo's 1998 Grammy-winning hit 'The Boy Is Mine,' which spent 13 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Their new song 'It All Belongs to Me,' was written and produced by hitmaker Rico Love.
Good news for Brandy fans who have anxiously been awaiting new music. The singer is hard at work on her sixth studio album which will hit stores in the first quarter of the new year.
On the new collection of tunes, Brandy is working with singer, songwriter and rapper Frank Ocean. The singer has called the collaboration with the famed artist a great fit with "great chemistry."
It looks like Brandy's music career is back on track. The R&B songbird has inked a pact with RCA Records. The agreement brings her back to the Sony Music family as a recording artist under Breyon Prescott's label Chameleon Records. In 2008, Brandy released her one album for Sony, 'Human,' but left the label in 2009 after it sold miserably in the marketplace.
Remember Brandy? Yeah, we forgot about her, too. After overcoming several personal and professional setbacks, including the disappointing sales of her 2008 album 'Human,' the veteran R&B songbird is making a last-ditch effort to resurrect her singing career.
