Channing Tatum

From a humble start as an Abercrombie & Fitch model, actor Channing Tatum has steadily risen to the top of Hollywood power players, producing and starring in bigger and bigger films. Born in Alabama in 1980, Tatum grew up in rural Mississippi. The high school jock dropped out of college and started doing odd jobs, including stripping. (He later famously parlayed that experience into the Magic Mike films.) After being discovered by a modeling scout, he appeared in several national campaigns. A series of acting roles followed, but his breakthrough was the 2006 dance flick Step Up. He met his wife, Jenna Dewan, on the set of that movie and wed her in 2009. As funny as he is handsome, Channing has enjoyed box-office successes including action films (a pair of G.I. Joe flicks) and comedies (the Jump Street movies). He was named People's Sexiest Man Alive of 2012.
