Christina Aguilera

Pop diva Christina Aguilera has reinvented herself with nearly every one of her projects, but one constant remains: her unmatched vocal prowess. Born in 1980 in Staten Island, N.Y., she became known for her big voice while still a child. A young Christina appeared on ‘The Mickey Mouse Club’ alongside Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, and like them, she sought solo pop fame. She got it with her 1999 self-titled album, and its trio of iconic No. 1 singles: ‘Genie in a Bottle,’ ‘What a Girl Wants’ and ‘Come on Over Baby (All I Want Is You).’ Her Xtina alter ego was let loose on the more-adult ‘Stripped,’ which featured the standout ballad ‘Beautiful.’ After 2006’s retro ‘Back to Basics,’ she struggled a bit professionally and personally, but soon embarked upon a comeback as a coach on NBC’s hit show ‘The Voice.’
