We're so used to seeing Blake Shelton goofing around on 'The Voice' that we sometimes forget he can also be a serious performer.

Carrie Underwood kept saying she was a good girl, but she looked all bad girl in her performance eat the 2013 CMA Awards, held tonight (Nov. 6) in Nashville, Tenn.

Wonder what the heck Jason Mraz was doing at the country music awards tonight (Nov. 6)? He was there to support pal and duet partner Hunter Hayes, of course!

Taylor Swift could be forgiven for thinking she had time-traveled to some point in the long-off future when she will be old and gray and get honored with a lifetime achievement award: At the tender age of 23, she was the recipient of the most prestigious -- and rare -- honor at the 47th annual CMA Awards tonight (Nov. 6).

Nominated for a whopping five 2013 CMA Awards, Blake Shelton tonight (Nov. 6) nabbed the one that he wanted the most, Album of the Year, and one that he's won so often he practically owns it, Male Vocalist of the Year. It is the first win ever in the album category for the country singer and 'Voice' coach, for 2013's best-selling 'Based on a True Story...

Gone was the red dress from the red carpet, gone was the brash production of the official video, gone was any hint of pop trappings. All Taylor Swift brought on stage with her for her 2013 CMA Awards performance of 'Red' was her guitar, some dim mood lighting, a whole lot of feeling -- oh, and an all-star band headed by a couple of country music legends!

It's been a good long time since country music stars needed cowboy hats and boots to prove they were indeed country.
