Host and musical guest Drake gave the 'SNL' viewing audience a serious lesson in his history during his opening monologue on Jan. 18, going so far as to recreate his Bar Mitzvah with an assist from new cast member Sasheer Zamata as his new Aunt Rhonda.
It was double duty for Drake last night (Jan. 18) on 'Saturday Night Live.' The rapper, who has a history of acting (having appeared on the Canadian sudser 'Degrassi: The Next Generation') hosted and served as the musical guest and he was incredible in both roles.
The Piers Morgan-themed cold open of the first 'SNL' episode of 2014 (which aired last night, Jan. 18) focused on current, hot button issues plaguing the country, such as New Jersey governor Chris Christie and the scandalous George Washington Bridge closure, along with the case of beleaguered and suspended New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez and Justin Bieber's Egg Gate.
