The Time 100 Gala, celebrating the 100 Most Influential People of 2013, was held last night (April 23) at Lincoln Center in NYC. Pop acts who were feted and showed up to celebrate included Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Frank Ocean and Miguel. They were all dressed in their black tie best.
Just a few days after publicly saying he respects Frank Ocean's music and lulling America into thinking his life would now be something other than a series of feuds and/or offensive statements, Chris Brown is back in action -- and by "action," of course, we mean dissing his enemies and bragging about his sex life with Rihanna.
While his Odd Future mate Frank Ocean rakes in piles and piles of critical accolades for 'Channel Orange,' the much more controversial Tyler, the Creator remains a bit on the fringe, thanks to his antics and his lyrics, oft perceived as misogynist, childish and demonic, or some combo of the three. The rapper revealed that he and Ocean wrote a song for Justin Bieber's 'Believe,' which'll have you asking, "Oh, really? Which one?" Not so fast. The track was rejected for the album. Guess Bieber didn't 'Belieb.'
As soon as we saw Frank Ocean during his Grammy performance of 'Forrest Gump,' all we could think of was Luke Wilson's Richie Tenenbaum character from 'The Royal Tenenbaums.' The Grammy-award winning singer is obviously a big fan of the 2001 Wes Anderson movie seeing as his Instagram handle is Francis Tenenbaum.
