Last night (April 15), the 2013 MTV Movie Awards were held to celebrate some of the biggest and brightest stars and films, and while it's a place mostly reserved for actors, there were some singers (and actresses-turned-singers) spread throughout the mix of celebs who hit the red carpet in Culver City, Calif.
Gwen Stefani has been the reigning pop-rock frontwoman for more than a decade now, leading her bandmates in No Doubt with her inimitably impressive vocals. However, when Paramore first broke onto the scene a few years back, fiery-haired songstress Hayley Williams also became a notable frontwoman in the pop world.
As acts that seemingly came out of nowhere to score the year's two biggest hits so far, fun. and Gotye have a lot in common. The guys of fun. have paid tribute to their fellow chart-topper with a cover of 'Somebody That I Used to Know' featuring Hayley Williams of Paramore.
While OK Go are the primary players on the new 'Muppets: The Green Album' LP -- having recorded the opening track which just so happens to be the 'Muppet Show Theme Song' and releasing a video for the tune -- they aren't the only star power that the puppets recruited. Weezer and Hayley Williams of Paramore also recorded 'Rainbow Connection' for the album, which is another Muppets classic.
