Rap mogul Jay-Z is beaming over J. Cole's Best New Artist Grammy nomination. It's a crowning achievement for his Roc Nation artist, who had to wait three years to release his debut LP 'Cole World: The Sideline Story.'

In what may be the shortest diss-a-thon in hip-hop history, former battle rapper Canibus ended his beef with J. Cole two days after releasing 'J. Clone,' a heated diss song about the Roc Nation artist. In a video that was posted online today (Dec. 12), Canibus apologized for his actions and the brouhaha over the track.

J. Cole is holding down his place as the Sound Off champ, snagging his second win in a row. J. Cole's 'Can't Get Enough' managed to squash T-Pain and his jam 'Bang Bang Pow Pow,' with the 'Cole World' hitmaker garnering more than 87% of the fan votes. Now, his Trey Songz-featured tune will take on Lupe Fiasco and his new single 'I Don't Wanna Care Right Now.'

J. Cole can add one more accomplishment to his productive year. The North Cackalacka rhyme-slinger's debut LP 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' has reached gold status for sales of 500,000 copies by the Recording Industry Association of America. The Roc Nation artist went on Twitter to show proof by posting a letter from his attorney showing the RIAA certification.

J. Cole killed it in yesterday's Sound Off, demolishing Drake's 'The Motto' with 80% of the fan votes. Now, the 26-year-old rapper and his island, tribal-esque track 'Can't Get Enough' will take on a new competitor. Today, J. Cole will go up against T-Pain and his track 'Bang Bang Pow Pow.'

Drake is the new reigning champ in our Sound Off, collecting nearly 56% of the fan votes in yesterday's battle with T.I. His new 'Take Care' track 'The Motto,' which features Lil Wayne, has a new opponent today in the form of up-and-coming rap giant J. Cole and his 'Cole World: The Sideline Story' song 'Can't Get Enough.'

When he's not partying with Beyonce or hanging out with bad girls and Wale, J. Cole is making cameos in other kinds of videos -- like Nike commercials.
