Jason Derulo debuted his new song 'Undefeated' on tonight's episode (May 22) of 'American Idol.' The song was part of a Coca Cola promotion where fans could participate in the writing of the song's lyrics. Derulo, who has been sidelined from the road and from performing after breaking his neck while rehearsing for tour, began the song while seated. It felt like a cautious move. But like his injury, he didn't stay down.
Jason Derulo is still recovering from a broken neck, but through the process and the pain, his girlfriend Jordin Sparks has been his backbone. While there was some curiosity when the singing duo first went public with their romance, with a whole mess of "Are they or aren't they?" rumors abounding, the self-aware Derulo admits that being with Sparks has changed him … and for the better.
Jason Derulo was sidelined from touring after breaking his neck in rehearsals earlier this year, but the singer has not been idle while he recovers. Instead, he's been Idol…'American Idol,' that is. Even though they initially denied their relationship, Jason Derulo and Jordin Sparks have confirmed that they are a couple and now they're shouting their love for one another from the mountain tops. Derulo recently dropped a remix of 'It Girl,' and apparently this position has been filled by his lady love Ms. Sparks, as she is featured on the song and in a video accompanying the revamped tune.
Good news for Jason Derulo fans! The 'Don't Wanna Go Home' singer is doing much better than he was last week after he sustained a broken neck during tour rehearsals. Derulo filmed a video updating his fans on his current condition, saying he's "OK" and that the hardest part of this whole ordeal isn't the fact that he fractured his neck (an injury that can sometimes lead to paralysis and death), but that he was forced to cancel his world tour.

Derulo took to his social networking sites where he posted a picture of himself laid up with a neck brace, but at least looking to be in good spirits about the injury.
