So is there a posthumous Aaliyah project in the works? No one seems to know, not even Missy Elliott or Timbaland. The hit-making duo appeared on Power 105's The Breakfast Club Tuesday morning (Sept. 18) to set the record straight on their involvement with the supposed album.

Guess who's back? Missy Elliott will drop two new singles next month, according to her longtime collaborator Timbaland. The veteran producer made the announcement on his Twitter page that Misdemeanor will release '9th Inning' and 'Triple Threat' in early September.

Contrary to previous reports, Missy Elliott and Timbaland are not involved in the posthumous Aaliyah album. Missy and Timbo's manager issued a press release (via Billboard), stating they "will not be participating" on the Drake and Noah "40" Shebib executive-produced project.
