OneRepublic are one of those bands that you hear absolutely everywhere. From near-constant radio airplay to commercial licensing ('Good Life' is a pretty perfect ditty for a Disney vacay, isn't it?), the band are an inescapable staple of pop. And we're not sure why anyone would want to escape them, because all of their songs are exceptionally crafted.
What's new in our Top 20 Songs countdown this week? Both Linkin Park and OneRepublic are making debuts with 'Burn It Down' and 'Feel Again,' respectively at No. 20 and No. 18. Meanwhile, further down the chart Pink is holding on to her No. 1 slot while fun. bump Neon Trees from the No. 2 spot with 'Some Nights.'
Way to go, Bridgit Mendler! The 'Good Luck Charlie' star is making her break into pop music with her single 'Ready or Not,' and fans are clearly loving the singer's sound since she just dominated our latest About to Pop competition. You know what this means, kids -- Bridgit's new record will receive 20+ spins on our weekend radio show on Saturday and Sunday. Check out a list of stations where it will air here!
OneRepublic find a way to 'Feel Again' on their latest single, an up-tempo track from their upcoming third album. With its urgent hand-clapping and swelling vocal hooks, 'Feel Again' sounds so similar to 'Dogs Days Are Over' that the band might as well add a "Featuring Florence + the Machine" credit.
OneRepublic were one of the many performers to take the stage at the 2011 American Music Awards. Although they weren't awful, their performance definitely fell short in comparison to the other artists who performed at the Nokia Theatre on Nov. 20. Ryan Tedder seemed to be struggling throughout the song, especially during the higher notes in the chorus of their hit track 'Good Life.'
