R. Kelly Performs With Phoenix at 2013 Coachella Festival [VIDEO]
R. Kelly's collaboration on 'To the World' from the G.O.O.D. Music album 'Cruel Summer' was one of the many highlights on the collection. The veteran R&B crooner was grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Kanye West, who is a fellow Chicagoan artist.
Before she passed, Whitney Houston recorded a duet with R. Kelly called 'I Look to You,' which has just been released.
Usher leads the pack of nominees for the 2012 Soul Train Awards with five nominations, including Album of the Year for 'Looking 4 Myself.' Following behind Usher is R&B songbird Estelle with three nods including Song of the Year ('Thank You').
As you may already know, Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music album has sprung a leak. One song that caught our attention is track No. 1 on the album, 'To the World' featuring R. Kelly.
R. Kelly has always been an emotional guy, but who knew chick flicks got under his skin so badly? The 'Write Me Back' singer details his divorce from wife Andrea Kelly, including what led up to the split, in his new book, 'Soulacoaster, The Diary of Me'. (We'll give you a second to stop chuckling at the title. Okay, ready?) The biggest catalyst? Apparently, 'The Notebook.' Yes. 'The Notebook.'
Uh oh. R. Kelly was forced to cancel big time appearances on New York TV shows this week, including 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon' and 'TODAY,' in order to return to Chicago to seek medical treatment.
RollingStone.com reports that R. is suffer
When R. Kelly wrote 'I Look to You' for Whitney Houston 10 years ago, he never thought that he'd be singing it at the legend's funeral. Kelly choked back tears during his rousing performance of the song at Houston's memorial yesterday (Feb. 18), giving a new meaning to the track he penned.
Whitney Houston's three-hour funeral was aired on CNN and streamed online today (Feb. 18). While pop divas like Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige were in attendance and the likes of Alicia Keys, R. Kelly and Stevie Wonder performed, it was still a traditional Baptist worship service at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, N.J., where Houston was born.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the priest said, "We gonna have church today," and that's just what they had while celebrating the singer's life and her immovable faith.
