Jermaine Paul was upstreamed to the semifinals on tonight's (April 17) elimination episode of 'The Voice' by the American voting audience, leaving Erin Willett and RaeLynn in the bottom for Team Blake Shelton. With the credits rolling, Shelton chose to save Willett, letting RaeLynn go ultimately because her choice of save song was a bit too safe.
Kicking off the quarterfinal performances, country crooner RaeLynn took on Jason Aldean's 'She's Country' on 'The Voice' stage. The Team Blake member gave an energetic performance that had all the judges praising the young star.
While practicing 'Wake Up Call' for tonight's first live show (April 2) on 'The Voice,' country gal RaeLynn said she was going to punch America in the face with country music. Go on, girl! Wearing a pink flower in her hair, Carrie Bradshaw-style, brown cowgirl boots and a big tulle skirted black dress, the youngest competitor of the season turned the Maroon 5 pop song into a country anthem. Her coach Blake Shelton admitted that it's a country song anyway – you cheat on me, I shoot you -- so RaeLynn could easily have her way with it.
When you're a contestant on 'The Voice,' having a 'case of the Mondays' isn't such a bad thing ... unless you lose in the battle round, of course. In tonight's premiere cage match episode, Blake Shelton chose an obvious pairing, putting country cutie RaeLynn up against twangin' powerhouse Adley Stump.
