SXSW is bringing music, movies and plenty of hipsters to Austin, Texas. Since the festival is so long and spreads across so many venues throughout the city, attending can be a pretty daunting and intimidating -- but ultimately rewarding -- task for music lovers.

The 2013 SXSW festival (South by Southwest) is already underway in Austin, Texas, with the live concert portion of the event set to run from March 12-17. SXSW typically puts the spotlight on lesser-known acts, giving attendees a chance to see tomorrow’s superstars before they hit it big.

If the amount of promotion Selena Gomez has been doing for 'Spring Breakers' is any indication, the movie should do well when it lands at the multiplex, since the singer/actress is promoting it at every turn.

Deadmau5 will be part of the stately closer for the interactive portion of the SXSW festival. The mouse-ear sporting, often mouthy DJ will perform at the SXSW Interactive Party on March 12 with Richie Hawtin.
