The Vamps

British pop-rockers the Vamps formed in early 2012 and -- thanks to their catchy tunes and teen-idol appeal -- signed a major-label recording contract before the end of that same year. Guitarist James McVey met lead vocalist Bradley Simpson through YouTube, and the pair began writing songs together while working to fill out the rest of the four-piece’s lineup: drummer Tristan Evans and bassist Connor Ball. In 2013, their U.K. debut single, ‘Can We Dance,’ broke them in their home country and began a string of chart successes. It also brought them to other artists’ attention, and they opened concerts for such stars as Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and the Wanted. Their first album, ‘Meet the Vamps,’ features their debut U.S. single, ‘Wild Heart,’ and the Demi Lovato collaboration ‘Somebody to You.’
