Bruno Mars won the first Grammy Award of his young career this afternoon, taking Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for the chart-topping 'Just the Way You Are.'

Mars triumphed despite competition from the late King of Pop. Michael Jackson was nominated for 'This Is It,' while Mars also faced off against John Mayer, Michael Buble and Adam Lambert.

Mars scored a total of seven nominations. He is still a contender for Record of the Year tonight for 'Nothin' on You' with B.o.B., as well as for Cee-Lo Green's 'F--- You,' which Mars co-produced with the Smeezingtons.
