Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour Features Cameos from Her Cats

Taylor Swift officially kicked off her 1989 World Tour in Tokyo on May 4, and we're insanely jealous of everyone who witnessed the magic in person.

We can experience bits and pieces from the show thanks to modern technology, courtesy of Swifties armed with iPhones. Guys, this is everything we imagined in our wildest dreams (sorry) and more.

First things first: Excitement is palpable in Taylor's opening speech, which you can watch in the video above. "I wanted to thank you for everything you've done for me this year," Taylor tells the crowd, who understandably freak out. "This year has absolutely changed my life."

She continued, explaining the story arc of her 1989, "If you've ever listened to my music, you probably know that I'm very intrigued by writing songs about love and relationships. For this album, I was a 25-year-old girl living in a big city -- single --and writing about love from the outside looking in."

Of course, the 1989 World Tour wouldn't be complete with cameos from Taylor's cats, Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey. While the singer always seems thrilled to be in the presence of her feline companions, they don't seem too thrilled to be posing with her for a video. Need proof? Just check out the video below, which claims no cats were harmed in the making of the tour.

Other highlights from the show include clips of Taylor's biggest hits off of her fifth album -- "Shake It Off," "Style" and "Out of the Woods" -- as well as an epic mashup of two other tracks, "Enchanted" and "Wildest Dreams."

She kicks off the unexpected mix by performing "Wildest Dreams" on the piano. Then, as you can see in the video below, she ends that performance by working in an energetic rendition of "Enchanted." Two of her most fantastic tracks combined? Perfection!
