Taylor Swift gave her New Jersey crowd a treat this week when she performed an acoustic medley of hits by local rockers, featuring Bon Jovi's classic, 'Livin' On a Prayer.'

Seated with her guitar, the superstar performer asked, "Are you guys aware of the brilliant music that's been created in New Jersey?" She began by playing the chorus of Bruce Springsteen's 'Dancing in the Dark.' Next came 'Livin' On a Prayer,' the crowd-pleasing anthem that had fans singing along. Naturally, that led into Swift's own smash hit 'You Belong With Me.'

It looks like the "local artist medley" is becoming a mainstay of Swift's concerts. Last week in Toronto, she covered popular songs by Canadian artists, including Justin Bieber and Alanis Morissette. She's been sounding great vocally lately, a good sign since in the past she's occasionally been criticized for being out of tune, particularly during her Grammy Awards duet with Stevie Nicks, not to mention her recent bout with bronchitis.

We can't wait to see what other surprise covers Taylor has in store for the rest of the tour. Perhaps Jay-Z and Lady Gaga for the New York City shows? We'd pay good money to watch Taylor sing the "rah rah ah ah ah" of 'Bad Romance' while strumming an acoustic guitar!
