Will the number 7 be lucky, indeed, for Taylor Swift? If the success of her seventh album's lead single "Me!" is any indication, there's no doubt.

Swift, who released the duet with Panic! at the Disco's Brendon Urie on April 26, seems to be going in a noticeably more saccharine, candy-colored direction with her next chapter, her first since 2017's vengeful, semi-morose ReputationComplete with falsetto trills, playground melodies and a set plucked straight from Candy Land, "Me!" paints a picture of Swift gleefully skipping all the way to her seventh release, but will she stumble over the return to her roots? Or, will the next step amount to her most confident stride yet?

Below, we've collected some of the web's best tidbits about what's to come (and what we think is gonna come) from TS7. Check out everything we know about Taylor Swift's seventh studio album below, and leave your best guesses or hopes about the future of T-Swift in the comments.

Swift's album name and next single are hiding in plain sight:

Swift revealed in a live Instagram video that two important names — her next album's name and its second single's name — are hidden within the "Me!" video, and said she's shocked that fans hadn't yet picked up on what she saw as a plainly obvious clues.

Some thought a billboard sign that says "Lover" in "Me!" might be an important clue, while others said "Kaleidoscope" could be an important term (Urie pulls one of the instruments out of his jacket in the video). There are even allusions to all the cities in which Swift has lived in "Me!," making the Easter egg hunt all the more difficult. The video is totally flooded with potential answers.

Swift's said it's better work than what's featured on Reputation:

"I always look at albums as chapters in my life," she said during an appearance at the 2018 iHeartRadio Awards. "And to the fans, I'm so happy that you like this one... But I have to be really honest with you about something: I'm even more excited about the next chapter."

Ohhhh!

Plus, the final song on Reputation, "New Year's Day," makes a reference to a coming "chapter," making the term perhaps even more significant.

There's a rumor that this one will be allllll about Joe Alwyn:

According to Refinery29, a recent glitch on Swift's Spotify channel had many convinced her next album will get particularly personal with respect to boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Just days ago, fans noticed a new heart-themed background on all of her songs except for one: "The Story of Us."

Released eight years ago, the track comes from Speak Now, which is about a very personal relationship. Plus, the song is exactly four minutes and 26 seconds long — a potential nod to the April 26 "Me!" release date.

It'll be the first album on Swift's new label:

Billboard reported that Swift signed to a brand new imprint — Republic Records — in November 2018, after spending 12 years under Big Machine Records. As part of her next contract, Swift will maintain ownership of her master recordings, and "Me!" is the very first track released as part of the new deal.

You can expect the album to include dirty details and specific memories:

During a February interview with Elle U.K., Swift said there's a bigger appetite among pop fans than ever before for authenticity and vivid details within lyrics.

"I think these days, people are reaching out for connection and comfort in the music they listen to," she said. "I think a lot of music lovers want some biographical glimpse into the world of our narrator, a hole in the emotional walls people put up around themselves to survive."

"I want to remember the color of the sweater, the temperature of the air, the creak of the floorboards, the time on the clock when your heart was stolen or shattered or healed or claimed forever," she added.

Mermaids might be a huge part of the next era:

Ever since Swift uploaded a photo gallery of her 2019 New Year's Eve costume party — which found her dressed as a mermaid — fans have gone wild with theories that the mythical sea creatures are somehow an indication of the tone Swift's seventh album will take. More specifically, fans think the mermaid represents Swift's softer and more romantic inclinations, which they expect Swift to explore on the next LP.

Swift was spotted wearing a pair of mermaid-themed items in her Reputation tour documentary, too.

Fans are convinced the album is dropping in either July or August:

Those aforementioned Easter eggs? There seem to be two number-related clues on which fans are fixated. One is a clock that shows a time of 8:30, leaving fans to believe that the album will drop on August 30, while others think that the "Me!" video's inclusion of seven briefcases and 13 clouds mean a July 13 release date is likelier.
