Taylor Swift is the reigning queen of the pop charts. The release of her fifth album, 1989, is undeniably one of the biggest music moments of 2014. As TS gears up for her upcoming tour, we can't help but think she's the perfect choice for prom queen. After all, she's BFFs with her Swifties, encouraging them and "Taylurking" on their social media. Who can forget Taylor's unfaultering message of self-acceptance and embracing one's flaws? That's exactly the kind of leadership we want in a prom queen!

Speaking of empowerment, Meghan Trainor is a major advocate for self-confidence. There's a reason her "All About That Bass" was a massive hit in 2014. (Her insane vocals and amazing songwriting skills definitely played a part as well!) Two Grammy nominations later, Meghan is still as humbled as ever. We think she'd crush it in the role of prom queen.
