Taylor Swift doesn't need to wait until the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on August 7 to find out if she is picking up an award. The 'Mean' singer, 21, has already been announced as the winner of Ultimate Choice Award, which is the highest honor of the night. Additionally, Swift is up for six more Teen Choice Awards in a myriad of categories, ranging from those that celebrate her music to her signature style.

Her nominations include Female Artist, Female Country Artist, Country Single for 'Mean,' Country Love Song for 'Mine,' Best Break-Up Song for 'Back to December,' and Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Female. With all of those nominations, chances are August 7 could very well shape up to be Taylor Swift's night.

So why did Swift nab the Ultimate Choice Award, besides the fact that she is all-around awesome, inspiring a whole generation of teens with her confessional music? Well for one, Swift's "extraordinary contributions to the entertainment industry" are worth noting. Her latest album 'Speak Now' is one of the best-selling albums of the year and she was also chosen as Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

Swift's fans are being asked to offer their opinion on what makes the singer their 'Ultimate Choice' by tweeting about her at the @TeenChoiceGirl handle. Make sure your tweets are good, since the best ones will be selected for the awards show. Taylor herself will see them, so do your best to express why you love her.

Tune in August 7 to watch the 2011 Teen Choice Awards and to see if Swift picks up any other trophies.
