Leah Messer-Calvert of 'Teen Mom 2' has documented her struggles with her daughter Aliannah's developmental delays for the past four years. She has now revealed the little girl's devastating diagnosis.

As it turns out, Aliannah, who has a twin named Aleeah, has muscular dystrophy. She has been stricken with a rare and incurable form of the disease, which sees muscles weaken. The condition gets progressively worse over time.

In an interview with In Touch, the young mom revealed, "We were scared because we didn’t know what her future was going to look like, but we always pushed for answers. We never gave up, and we never will. We’ll do everything we can to make sure Ali has the life that she needs."

Messer-Calvert, 21, revealed that the disease will affect the little girl's respiratory system. "The bigger she gets and the more weight she gains, the harder it’ll be for her muscles to carry the weight," Leah revealed.

Translation: Ali will eventually be confined to a wheelchair. To accommodate her, Leah and second husband Jeremy Calvert are selling their home, which they only recently purchased, in favor of a dwelling that is handicap accessible.

Despite the diagnosis, the family will do everything in its power to allow sweet little Ali to enjoy the full life she deserves.

Ali's diagnosis has made the extended family closer. Leah's ex-husband Corey Simms, who is the father of the twins, is there and supporting the ladies. "Ali’s condition has brought us all extremely close together. We have to stay strong for Ali, and things are going good."

We will keep precious little Ali in our thoughts and prayers.
