Lily Elise took advantage of her second chance on 'The Voice' with a performance of Alicia Keys' 'If I Ain't Got You' to gain a spot on the team led by her musical hero, Christina Aguilera.

Elise is a San Francisco Bay Area native who was accepted to the Pop Music program at the prestigious USC Thornton School of Music. She was a member of the teen A cappella group 'Til Dawn, and is currently a singer in the alternative R&B/hip-hop band the Beat Advocate.

In a non-televised audition, Elise failed to win over a single 'Voice' coach with her performance of Beyonce's 'If I Were a Boy.' "I think that is the worst performance of 'If I Were a Boy' that I had ever done," admitted Elise in a post-show blog post. "[My] pitch was everywhere, breath support was out the window and the more the song went on, the more I realized it wasn't happening."

Thankfully, for Elise, she was given a second chance and impressed Aguilera with her performance of 'If I Ain't Got You.' "When I saw Christina's chair turn around, there were just no words, of course I started crying on camera, and ruining my makeup," remarked Elise. "But it's all good because I'm moving on and I get to have my all-time idol as a coach. I feel very blessed to be a part of it and I hope to make her proud."
