‘The Voice’ Live Tour Hits Boston
The smash hit TV show ‘The Voice’ announced shortly after crowning Javier Colon as their Season 1 winner that they would be taking the show on the road. The six show run kicked off in Los Angeles at the end of July and ends tonight, August 6, in New York City. The tour features both the winner Colon along with finalists Dia Frampton, Vicci Martinez, Beverly McClellan, and semifinalists Casey Weston, Xenia, Nakia and Frenchie Davis.
On August 4, the tour took to the stage at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston, Mass. Whether you’re a fan of Dia Frampton or Nakia is your man, the show offered up a little something for everyone. Starting off with a group performance, the final eight kicked off the show together in a sing-a-long that would have had all of their coaches -- Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton -- on their feet and clapping, as was the entire crowd in Boston on Thursday.
After the opening number, each artist had their chance to shine individually. If you originally fell in love with Vicci Martinez’s rendition of Adele’s 'Rolling In The Deep,' then this show is your chance to hear it live. The artists, one by one, recreated the songs that they battled through the show with only this time, everyone was a winner.
Keeping the experience interactive throughout, each artist showered the crowd with love, high fives and many thanks. At one point in the evening the crowd even got to vote (via text messaging) for one of the songs that Colon would perform, so the fans play an integral role in the show each night!
Nakia announced during his performance that the show is currently casting for Season 2 so head over to the official ‘The Voice’ website to find out how to audition, maybe we’ll see YOU next year out on tour!
