‘The Voice’ Recap: Top 6 Unveiled, Contestants Sway to the ‘Rhythm of Love’

Tonight’s episode of ‘The Voice’ (Nov. 27) was nothing short of powerful and epic, as the top 8 contestants were whittled down to 6. Team Cee Lo demonstrated what his singers had to offer by presenting a heartwarming rendition of his new holiday tune, ‘All I Need Is Love.’ His team members then showcased lovely version of ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green,’ complete with the beloved Muppets.

During tonight’s installment, contestants and judges alike were asked to unveil their secrets. Here are some of their responses: “I do really boring vocal warm ups,” said coach Adam Levine. “My Scottish accent is believable,” commented Terry McDermott. “One of them is the grooming of my facial hair,” added Nicholas David. “Vodka. Anything fried. 'The Golden Girls,'” revealed Blake Shelton.

As the night wore on, Amanda Brown and Trevin Hunte delivered a passionate performance of ‘Marry the Night’ by Lady Gaga. Cody Belew, Melanie Martinez, David and McDermott then performed ‘Rhythm of Love’ by Plain White T’s. To wrap up the eventful evening, Cassadee Pope and Dez Duron sang a moving adaptation of Rihanna’s ‘Hate That I Love You.’

No one is safe at this point, but it ain’t over till it’s over. With only one contestant left standing, Christina Aguilera has a lot resting on her shoulders, but she’s a fighter through and through and clearly isn’t ready to throw in the towel for good. “Regardless of what happens, I’ve had a blast with you,” she said to Duron. “This show does not define who you are … If you don’t make it past this, there is so much more to come from you …  We’ll see where it goes from here, but I’ll always support you.”

Shelton also gave tribute to his remaining Scotsman. “I have faith – I think America loves a Scottish accent,” he remarked to McDermott.  “I don’t think you’re goin’ nowhere.”
