TheWanted's next album was supposed to be hitting retailers right about now, but the record has been pushed back until at least Spring 2013 because the guys claim they need some extra time to make it perfect.

"We did push it back," Jay McGuiness said during an interview at the KIIS-FM Jingle Ball concert. "It was meant to be this Christmas, but it wasn't ready yet." Siva Kaneswaran added, "We're gonna release the album around April. We're gonna start a tour, our first world tour, we're gonna do a bit on tv... a lot of big things."

While Wanted fans ate up the group's latest single, 'I Found You,' the song didn't perform as well on the U.S. charts as the guys probably hoped, which may have prompted them to consider recording more songs before wrapping up the record. McGuiness confirmed, "We're doing a lot more writing in January after the Christmas break, so we'll know a lot more then."

The next album, tentatively called 'Third Strike,' will be the follow-up to the Wanted's self-titled EP, which spawned the hits 'Glad You Came' and 'Chasing the Sun.' Rumored featured artists on the album include Chris Brown, LMFAO and Rita Ora, but that could change since the band hadn't finalized the track listing.
