One Direction's chief rivals in the Wanted have announced they are taking a break… but it's not a breakup, so relax! There is no need to take a sedative or sob uncontrollably since this hiatus is temporary.

We know, we almost launched into a fit of hysterics when we heard the news, but then we calmed down and realized this cloud has a silver lining. The boys will step away from view for a sec, but they will work on other projects and have promised they will be back. We hold them to it, too!

You should also recognize that it's customary for a group to to take some time off after a whirlwind of success.

The boys, who released 'Word of Mouth' last November after rocketing to success on the back of the smash hit 'Glad You Came,' are going to reorganize, pursue some other interests and then return as the Wanted in full force.

Below is their full post alerting fans to their plans.

The Wanted are pleased to announce the release of their new video and single 'Glow in the Dark' taken from their November release 'Word of Mouth.' They are very excited to perform 'Glow In the Dark' along with their smash singles 'I Found You,' 'Chasing the Sun' and 'Glad You Came,' amongst others for their fans on their upcoming Word of Mouth Tour.

This tour will be their last for a while as Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour's conclusion. The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future. They thank their fans for their continued love and support and look forward to seeing them on tour.

The band canceled a batch of tour dates at the end of 2013. Siva Kaneswaran got engaged. Nathan Sykes enjoyed a run of press for his duet and relationship with Ariana Grande.

'Word of Mouth' did perform as well as expected, and it was rumored they were getting dropped, which didn't happen.

The album seemed to take a while to come out, which makes us wonder if the boys felt the need to take the break to put some distance between themselves and the record, and then come back in a HUGE way.

We have faith that the Wanted will return. We'll miss them, but we're confident they will back and better than ever.

Meanwhile, while Nariana have refused to publicly comment on the status of their relationship, word is that Lil Nath, as his band refers to him, visited his lady love in L.A. recently.
