Suffice it to say, Amy Schumer had her reasons for missing out on last night's Critics' Choice Awards.

The Inside Amy Schumer head honcho, who earned the ceremony's award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, was—all the while—doubling down on trophies as the recipient of a Peabody Awards honor. And the legendary Tina Fey, who presented Schumer with the distinction, made her admiration of the comic loud and clear.

"I really wanted to come down here tonight, and in a Madonna kind of way try to like feed off of her youth and maybe suck her soul out in a very awkward, staged lesbian kiss," Fey said, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "But when I pitched that idea to Amy's camp, they came back with such an immediate yes that it kind of grossed me out."

Nevertheless, spit was eventually and unabashedly swapped in a kiss that was so powerful, it incited some serious praise from Fey.

"Amy Schumer is killing it, as the agents like to say," the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt creator added. "Usually they are lying. But in this case it is true. Amy is killing it. She is the biggest deal in comedy right now," Not much to complain about after that!

Agree with Fey's assessment of her friend? Where do you think the kiss ranks among Hollywood's most famous lip-locks?
