    'Rock N Roll'

    Avril Lavigne

Avril Lavigne channeled her signature uber-confident pop-rock vibe for 'Rock N Roll.' The video is tons of fun to watch, as the singer incorporate comic book effects into the production. It's definitely a reflection of Avril's fun-loving outlook on music. She's happy being herself and she's not afraid to show it!

    'Fine China'

    Chris Brown

Next up on our Top Videos of 2013 (So Far) list is a clip in which Breezy turns on the old-school Michael Jackson charm. In ‘Fine China,’ he woos a special girl whose father doesn’t approve of their relationship. For these six minutes, at least, Brown looks like the most innocent kid on the planet, strutting around in suspenders and flashing a cheesy grin. The final scene creates high drama but forces viewers to use their imaginations after a 'Sopranos'-style non-ending.

    'Work Bitch'

    Britney Spears

When Britney Spears makes a comeback, she does it right. 'Work Bitch' is her biggest hit in years and we were delighted to see the video does it justice. Brit is back in shape, dancing and whip-cracking her way through the track. Britney owns this video, just like the pop princess we all know and love. It's great to have her back.

    'Come and Get It'

    Selena Gomez

'Come and Get It' is Selena Gomez's biggest hit to date, so naturally the video is phenomenal. The visual plays off of the tracks exotic vibe, showing a dewy-skinned Selena dancing in equally exotic locales. The effect is a sultry video that proves Selena is all grown up.

    'Applause'

    Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga's biggest single of 2013 was 'Applause,' so it's not surprise that the video is ultra-artsy. Mother Monster switches between minimalist black and white shots and bright lit colorful scenes, showing the contrast between how different people view pop music. It's fitting that as Gaga belts that she's become a Koons, her face is artfully covered in paint. We would expect nothing less from this edgy singer.

    'Best Song Ever'

    One Direction

We already know One Direction can sing, but we love that they also don't take themselves too seriously! For 'Best Song Ever,' the boys pull a double act, playing both themselves and goofy studio execs. We love seeing Harry embrace his dorky side and Niall play a grizzly old man. The highlight? Zayn dressing in drag! One Direction can run amok in our office any day.

    'Roar'

    Katy Perry

Katy Perry may have ditched her iconic blue wig and candy-covered bustier, but that doesn't mean she's lost her sense of humor! The singer is more charming than ever in her video for 'Roar,' which showcases the power of perseverance. You think you've had a rough day? Try being stranded in the wild and facing off against a tiger! Singing alongside a cast of cute animals, Katy becomes queen of the jungle and she better believe we can hear her roar!

    'Everything Has Changed'

    Taylor Swift Feat. Ed Sheeran

Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are cute enough on their own, but somehow the singers find a way to make their collaborative Top Video of 2013 even more adorable. The narrative centers around juvenile versions of themselves, who meet on the school bus and become close friends immediately. The ending brings an interesting twist to the story that only adds to the sweetness.

    'Blurred Lines'

Robin Thicke Feat. T.I. + Pharrell

Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' quickly became one of the most buzzed-about videos of the year! From its NSFW visuals to its controversial lyrics, the video raised a lot of eyebrows. Thanks to a catchy beat and guest appearance from Pharrell, 'Blurred Lines' became one of the biggest songs of the year.

    'Mirrors'

    Justin Timberlake

JT has cranked out hit after hit this year, but our favorite is 'Mirrors.' This emotional video strips away the bravado of 'Suit and Tie,' letting Justin's vocals and vulnerability shine through. 'Mirrors' is a tribute to his maturity as an artist. We love the simplicity of the visual, which is as strong as the song itself.

    'Treasure'

    Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars gives his disco-influenced song ‘Treasure’ a fittingly retro music video with a clip that uses bright studio lights, silly choreography, lame visual effects and poor video quality to recreate a television performance from the late ‘70s. The vintage effect on this video couldn’t have been more spot-on - we’re almost convinced ‘Treasure’ was directed by the same guy behind Michael Jackson’s ‘Off the Wall.’

    'We Can't Stop'

    Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus sexes things up in her clip for ‘We Can’t Stop,’ which takes the top spot in our countdown of the Top Music Videos of 2013. Veteran video director Diane Martel expertly adds a surreal quality to the typical party video theme. The twerking, dancing bears, French fry skull, and blunt-filled beer bottle piñata are part of a concept that Martel says is meant to convey the concept of being free and having fun. Mission accomplished!
