Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan has been moved out of the hospital and into a rehab center following a severe traffic accident that left him in critical condition.

Morgan and some friends were riding in a limo bus in New Jersey during the early hours of June 7 when a tractor-trailer swerved and hit the vehicle carrying Morgan and his friends, killing comedian James McNair and seriously injuring Morgan.

CNN says that Morgan continues to show signs of improvement and he is expected to spend the next several weeks in rehab.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," Morgan's publicist Lewis Kay said in a statement.

Morgan reportedly suffered broken ribs, a broken nose and a broken leg.

Meanwhile, the NTSB released a report regarding their investigation into the accident, and has revealed that preliminary findings show that the driver of the tractor-trailer, Kevin Roper, had been awake behind the wheel for more than 24 hours and was going 20 mph faster than the speed limit.

Roper has been charged with vehicular homicide and assault by auto, and is currently free on a $50,000 bond.
