Trey Songz, ‘Sex Ain’t Better Than Love’ – Song Review
On his 27th birthday (Nov. 28), Trey Songz released his 'Inevitable' EP as a gift to his fans. The 5-track collection features his inspirational song 'Top of the World' and the Fabolous-assisted single, 'What I Be On.' We particularly like his grown-and-sexy ballad 'Sex Ain't Better Than Love.'
Over a electric guitars and soft piano tinkles, the R&B singer realizes that sex is unfullfilling if it's not with the one you truly love. "I've been out here in these streets and I've learned / Every girl I gave my lovin' to was only a substitute / I've been out here in these streets and I've learned / Even though she's in my arms / This ain't where my heart belongs," he sings.
He then promises his lover he will remain committed to her until the very end. "Don't you ever leave / Baby girl I need your love to breathe / Never been so clear to me / I was blinded but now I see," he croons.
'Sex Ain't Better Than Love' is a solid slow jam that will make the ladies swoon. It's the foreplay before the romantic event -- Trey Songz's fifth album 'Chapter 5,' which is due out in 2012. If you want to stream the 'Inevitable' EP, click here.
