Tyler Perry has denied reports that Bobbi Kristina walked away from his television show last week. The Hollywood filmmaker and producer defended the 19-year-old budding actress explaining that she is still hurting over the death of her mother Whitney Houston.

Perry went on his Facebook page to shoot down rumors that Kristina had a meltdown and quit the TBS sitcom 'Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse.' He wrote, "There is no way that she could have walked off the set because we have finished taping the season."

Perry explained that after Whitney's funeral, he spent a lot of time with Kristina and discussed her goals and dreams, including her desire to act. "That’s when I decided to write her into 'For Better or Worse,'" he writes. "I thought that there would be no better way for me to help her move through the grieving than by giving her something to focus on."

Perry can also relate to Kristina's grief, having lost in his mother in 2009 from an undisclosed illness. He admitted that there were tough days for Kristina on the set, but attributed it to her grieving process. "Some days you're smiling and happy and some days you’re so broken that you can't stop crying," he states. "So yes she was grieving, but grief aside, she managed to finish her obligation and did a great job at the same time."

In the end, Perry wants all the rumors to stop … NOW!

He closes his note with this statement:

"So please... PLEASE LEAVE THIS BABY ALONE!!!! AND SHE IS A BABY!!! Please stop the lies and give this child some room to breathe and grieve. "

IF IT WAS YOUR CHILD [WOULDN’T] YOU WANT THAT?"
