Tyler Posey’s Mom Has Passed Away

Very sad news to report: it looks like Tyler Posey's mother, Cyndi Posey, has passed away after a long battle with breast cancer. Earlier this month, Tyler took to Twitter to let fans know he was taking a break from social media, though the reason for doing so was never divulged. Rumors of his mother's passing began circulating around the Internet, until Cyndi's obituary was found online.

Tyler was reportedly very close with his mother, who often traveled with Tyler to help him with his acting career. He even honored Cyndi by naming her as his hero for the Zoe Saldana show ‘My Hero,’ where he and his family celebrated her and let her know just how much she meant to them. It was an incredibly touching segment and one in which Tyler was open about his mother’s cancer, which he admits was hard for him to come to terms with. He cited her strength and her ability to always think about others before herself, and says that he wouldn't be where he is today without her. You can check out that video here.
